The film combines suspense and drama, offering a unique take on the genre with solid performances, especially from the lead actors. The cinematography is visually striking, conveying a moody and tense atmosphere that fits the tone of the story. However, the pacing sometimes feels off—some scenes drag on too long, while others feel rushed, leaving some plot points undeveloped. The film’s strengths lie in its character dynamics and emotional depth, but it doesn’t live up to its potential. Overall, it’s an entertaining film, but it falls just short of greatness. I’d give it a solid 7/10. Check out our list of exciting new films from this year’s film festivals, including Venice, TIFF, the New York Film Festival, and more.
